The recent death of Sam Hinton (marine biologist, oceanographer,
folklorist and singer)
has prompted me to pull together the bits of information about his
recordings, gathered
from various sources and other online discographies.
  The following need input:
  1. Were the two Library of Congress titles issued on LoC LP AFS L21 also
issued on 78rpm? (The complete session was issued on CD by Bear Family).
  2. ABC-EAGLE session(s) - one discography indicates that 16 sides were cut
by
ABC-EAGLE, but lists 7 disks (14 sides). Anyone know if they miscounted,
missed an issued record, or if the two unlisted sides are unissued? Anyone
have session info?
  3. Details are needed for the BOWMAR 78's.
  4. DECCA - inconsistencies in the data for the DECCA 78's, disagreement on
issue numbers, and some issues listed in series unknown to me, so wonder if
anyone who has the Decca master books would pull together the "official"
data?
Below is the data (78's only) I have.
The complete listing was posted on MUDCAT, and if I can obtain
updates/corrections
for these I will re-post the corrected listing.
  THANKS!
Best wishes, Thomas.
