[78-L] Not-So-Good Time Charlie

Charlie and His Orchestra records turn up on auctions every once in a while, even on ebay. 
The label has no name, but depicts a ''Klarinette und Mandoline'', and as such they are 
described in mail auctions, too. Apparently the pressing was only 100 pieces each. This is 
why the price for 1 record on decent condition now seems to hover around $500. The 
records were used on German military radio stations in Netherlands, Belgium and France 
that broadcast with directional beams to UK. 
 
Apart from this studio work for propaganda purposes, swing was of course strictly 
forbidden. The band members who often did not know each other, were called in for a 
''command performance'' which means they could not refuse.
