IF the original poster of this message is still here...

The Columbia #####-X series of records were (usually)
Spanish-language (thus deemed "ethnic") recordings which
were intended for sale in "Latin America!" This was WELL
before to-day's huge Mexican (im)migratrion (legal or
ILlegal). Indeed there did exist a Columbia-Records-Of
Mexico operation; their 78 issues seem to have borne
record numbers in a ####-C sequence. These records
are of interest to collectors because they often used "no
vocal" versions of then-popular songs...?!
