"Wingy's Stomp" was the original title as written in the Gennett
ledgers. It was crossed out and "Tar Paper Stomp" substituted. This
title substitution was fairly common and very probably occurred after
the fact - ie, written in by someone else, not the original compiler.
Artist pseudonyms were sometimes added or modified in this manner, as well.
If "Wingy's Stomp" appears as the title or as an alternate title on any
legit Gennett issue (or dubbed/pirated issue) I'd like to know about it!
