It was Morton Sodden and Albert Wolf that I drove out to Aida's house
for the evening. Albert Wolf I would describe as the leading
collector in New York at the time and certainly very active. It was
at the get togethers he generously hosted at his apartment that most
of us came to know the other New York collectors and where we had the
opportunity to hear records we had no access to otherwise. He was
very willing to play even the rarest of the records that he had. I
also recall meeting very prominent Europeans there including Robert
Bauer.

It was a very pleasant get together with Aida who had many important
rare records. I recall listening to several of Mantelli. She was
knowledgeable. I would have thought most collectors at the time would
have looked 'up', not 'down'.
