The MOORE GIRL by Andrew & Jim Baxter (Victor) is not about a girl drowning in Pudget Sound, but about a steam engine on a small (20 miles) local track somwhere in the Southern Mountains (Blue Ridge?). Apparently the railroad was abandoned in the teens or 20's. 
In fact the violin imitates the engine, and the words 'go something like this': 
'This is the Moore Girl. She stops every station...Next train comes at 3 o'clock.'
