actually the whole film was allowed to decompose. despite the fact 
that it was the highest grossing
movie (until Gone With The Wind came along) - WB lost it. The only 
known print came from London (where
that song had to be cut out, because it was being performed on stage 
by its composer at
the time of the film's release there).
