[78-L] Acoustic recording on Montgomery Ward

Just ran across an unusual item: an acoustic master on a Montgomery Ward release from the late 1930s. The song is "There Is a Fountain Fill'd with Blood" by the Trinity Choir, recorded probably Feb. 28, 1918 (no take information is in the wax or on the label and the release is not listed in the EDVR database). Flip side is a 1928 side by Robison & Luther. How unusual is this?
