Looks like the buyer could have got a bargain; s/he might have bid
much higher - we'll never know!!

Hmm... I suppose I might pay something for a perfect- copy of both
mxs, even in Victor shellac (an oxymoron perhaps). Although, so long
as the mxs hadn't corroded too much by whenever they were struck,
naturally I'd prefer to have vinyls!

As it is, the few copies of the Symposium of Swing album I do have, in
both gold and greeny-yellow label print, all have annoying minor
pressing or needle faults on all sides, and I only have two of the
four discs - not including this one - on Aussie HMV (which I imagine
cost me a bit more - I can't recall now).

Comparing with those, there's more detail on the Victors, and the
sound is less compressed, just a lot more bitty, so short of vinyls
they are -probably- the ones to go for if wanting these sides at all,
and NOS as a desc. at least sounds good!

I'm just saying... ;-)
