Yep, the cartridge is original, but rebuilt and a sapphire tipped stylus fitted in the screw mount. This Garod phono is lowly polished bakelite, still looks nice but apparently not worth the sky high prices for Garod catalin radios (one now on Ebay asking > $five thousand). Mike
