I'm wondering if the board that votes on this takes into account a person's personality as well as his fame. If this is so, it would have cause for rejecting Vallee, who had some - shall we say - "personality flaws." Still, as the progenitor of the crooning movement and the biggest radio star of his day, he should have been a slam-dunk for a sticky.
