[78-L] Recorded This Day

78-l did not always have an archive.  I saved some messages from that period including a regular feature called Recorded This Day.

This was posted by Neil Hirsch and consisted of discographical data related to African-American performers.

In order to make these old postings available to current 78-l members, I have placed a file at:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/78_archives/

in a folder called JohnRogers.

The file contains the daily postings that I copied and may not be complete.  I think it was about ten years ago that Neil posted the information.

I emailed Neil at one point because I believe that his entries for Tamla Motwon records in the sixties are release dates not recording dates.  Neil replied that he had taken  the data from liner notes and he was happy that it was accurate.
