They had USED copies earlier this week that were priced at double the
list price, while all the new copies were priced less than list. What
do they think we are? Idiots? I've been checking with no luck the web
site of the NYC bookstore famous for having a basement full of review
copies of new books for half price, and I even went there last night
just to be sure, but they haven't had any review copies come in -- or
any new ones either. The author will be doing a reading and signing at
the 18th St B&N next Thursday at 6 PM. That would usually be the night
of the NYC ARSC chapter meeting but I haven't heard yet as to whether or
not there will be one since it is the week before ARSC in DC. So Leah
and I will be going to one or the other or both.

Of course while at that bookstore we dropped about a hundred bucks. The
other reason I went there is because they said they had copies of David
Hall's 1955 book for $6 and I didn't have a copy of it yet. Got it.
And three other bags full. Including an original copy of Cynthia
Hoover's Smithsonian book "Music Machines American Style" for a buck on
one of the sidewalk carts.

All because I was trying to save 5 or 6 bucks on Selling Sounds.
