DITTO FOR ME!!!!!! But it was also my first taste of R&B. I remember
his program being the first place I heard Maybelline. The main C&W
record I remember hearing on Block's show was "He's In The Jailhouse
Now" because I could only understand half of the words. By this time he
was no longer on WNEW but had moved to WABC. He later went on to WOR.
William B. Williams at WNEW was still using the program title Make
Believe Ballroom as was Block on both the later stations.
