No...yesterday, Ron F announced that the list would be "closed for
necessary repairs"...but DIDN'T say exactly from when until when!
As a result, a LOT of our listeners DIDN'T try to post to the list...
and the "sound of silence" was deafening...?! Meanwhile, I simply
didn't have any vital questions...so I posted to the list exactly
ONCE!

I HOPE to do a check-up on my half-vast shellac archives to see
exactly what I own...and where it CURRENTLY is...?! My
(several expletives deleted) "Landlady Of Record" sent in a
crew of extremely rude Caribbean-ites to "clean up the place!"
I put them under orders (insofar as possible when without
firearms...?!) NOT to throw out any 78's (probably MUCH
to their dismay...?!)...but they simply threw them into milk
boxes and stacked those up blissfully unaware (well, they
rolled a number of dubious cigaroots...?!) that milk boxes
are NOT all the same size...?!

This will now necessitate a COMPLETE digital inventory,
using the new laptop I bought for that purpose (once I
find my CD-R of MS Office 97 again...?!) of my shellac
holdings...detailing WHICH records I still own, and in
WHICH milk boxes they currently reside...?!

H**L, if one has tendencies to-ward pack-rat-ism, is
having THIRD PARTIES (whomever they may well be?!)
step in and decide for one EXACTLY what one should
and should NOT own...! It is the same as having some
otherwise-anonymous functionary from the "Official
Commission On Family Sizes" tell one that, "I'm sorry...
our studies show that you have neither space nor funds
required for more than two children...so please select
the two you wish to retain, and we will arrange disposal
of any excess...!!"
