I'd say at least 10 times more at 128 kbps. Generally an mp3 at that rate is 1 meg per minute

Slighly off-topic, but if I promise I'm burning music from the 78 era for playback in the car we should be OK.

If I can get about 26 three minute songs on a normal 80 minute CD-R, how many can I get on that same 80 minute CD-R by burning them as MP3's?

I'm just trying to get a feel for how much a song is condensed by using MP3's.
