In case you were wondering what the Most Played Songs in Public Places in Britain in the lat 75 years might be, wonder no more.  The BBC published the list of the top ten today.  I can't imagine the criteria they used to come up with a list such as this.  At least one 78 just squeezed into the top ten, and maybe more appeared on 78 in certain places.
