[78-L] Phil Spector verdict: Guilty

Not a surprise, I don't think. He was extremely well-known for his freaky paranoia and gun-waving habits decades before he shot Lana Clarkson. If I'm not mistaken, he threatened an engineer on "Let It Be" with a pistol, and of course he repeatedly threatened and abused his wife Ronnie for years. What a freak. Some nice records, though!

His story makes an interesting bookend with another kook-genius record producer of the sixties, Joe Meek. Meek also committed murder, shooting his landlady and then himself. Someone needs to tell these murder-suicide chaps to do the suicide part first....
