[78-L] Lost Chords vs. Ken Burns

I remember being enthusiastic when the Ken Burns series was
announced. I watched and recorded them and while there was
interesting material, I found as, it proceeded, I was becoming more
and more annoyed by what seemed a very unfortunate distortion of the
history. Finally, very annoyed, I erased the tapes as some of the
worst of what we confront on Television. Clearly, far more black
material would be needed to do this series and presumably it doesn't
exist. I've thought about what might have been done to make it less
distorted as a history and can only conclude that Ken Burns didn't
view it as a history. Alas, it is presented as one and seen as one.
Too bad as it's unlikely now that anyone else will attempt to do a
serious history.
