I have, over the years, created what I call "Barr's 13th Law Of Music," 
which
runs: "You are never as good as you WANT to be...nor as bad as you THINK
you are!!" I think I can now add a corrolary directed toward purveyors of
"Easy Listening" music...as follows:

"The possibility ALSO exists that the music you deliberately play may have
NO identifiable justification for its very existence...and that in spite of 
that
reality there STILL exist members of the public who will purchase it...!!"

(who wonders if one way to reduce crime might be to wire up the cells
in the local "Calabozo" to provide Muzak 24/7...or would that fall under
"Cruel and Unusual Punishment" as forbidden in the "Bill Of Rights?!")
