I don't know, David. Burt himself stated in an interview that The Blob was
his first hit...perhaps it was written before Magic Moments. I'm not sure
when in '58 The Blob was released (or when it escaped!) but I do recall the
song getting heavy air play here in Seattle on the old KJR radio station.
