[78-L] Fwd: Kitty O'Connor

My late mother and her sisters fell in love with the voice of Gene Austin
back in the late 1920's. She told me that they went to a movie just to see
the short two-reeler that featured Austin. Her sister was angry that this
fat guy came on stage, sat down at the piano and began to sing with Gene
Austin's voice.

Which brings up another great discussion point. Artists who don't sound like
how they look. Anyone? (and let's keep it restricted to the 78 era, please,
folks).

Sounds like Vaughn DeLeath trying to sound like Irving Kaufman!!!!!!!

I was hoping this posting had film or a photo of HER, not a trashed label.
