[78-L] Melotone Recording Studio, Manhattan

Dear Friends:

 

I am trying to get information on a series of Jewish Folk Songs by Sarah
Gorby. They were recorded at the Melotone Recording Studio, 25 Central Park
West, New York. Has anyone studied the matrices from this studio or have
other dating information for such 78s? I am trying to date number 242A. The
labels are blue background with a picture of the artist; no number. 

 

It appears they were also released on Meloton S.R.L., Argentina and on
Londisc, Argentina, same photo as the Meloton S.R.L. Was there a
relationship between the commercial Melotone label and the studio?
