Ironically, Leah forwarded me this story this morning from the AM NY
newspaper.

This week Rolling Stone has an article about the demise of record
stores, and includes a statistic from Nielson SoundScan that says that
CD sales have dropped 48.9% since 2000. (Story not on line yet.)

Last year their June 12 issue had an article that discussed that vinyl
sales are increasing while CD sales are decreasing, something that is
also mentioned in the AM NY article.

Here's an article from Time.
