I always bring a portable listening device to the dentist. I had a double appointment with a cleaning followed by a root canal and I listened to Ralph Vaughan Williams "On Wenlock Edge" with George Maran (I believe originally released on 78s) and for the root canal, Beethoven's "Emperor" Concerto with Dubravka Tomsic (not a 78).
