     This case looks like something I experienced several times on the
Bay: Seller is upset that his item failed to sell above the minimum bid
and/or that the buyer failed to purchase or bid on anything else for more
money, so he/she feels justified in a poor packing job guaranteed to
destroy the items in shipping & blames the Post Office when the buyer
complains. This is how the seller "gets back" at the buyer for "wasting
his time". Often the abusive email responses include references to the
buyer having the nerve to expect far too much for the measly couple of
dollars he spent.
     When I sold, the buyer got the same careful packing job regardless of
how much was spent. Often, once I gained a buyer's confidence in my
packing abilities, they would feel safe enough to bid more on my
subsequent listings.
I also shipped as soon as possible, regardless of how much was spent;
more than I can say for certain sellers who prefer catering to wealthier
        customers, make it clear that my business isn't important to them
& hint that I'm lucky to receive records purchased at such a bargain price
at all, much less in one piece.
