Don't have any versions of "Man in the Moon," but John Hartford recorded "Gum Tree Canoe" for his Flying Fish album of the same name (FF-289). It's been reissued on CD. Is this the same song? (I'm not familiar with "Gum Shoe Canoe.")

Subject: [78-L] GUM SHOE CANOE

This is a slightly off topic question because it doesn't involve a 78, but it
involves songs from the 78 era and before.
I am looking for information on a Bing Crosby LP of Sing-a-Long medleys. This
LP has mostly older turn-of-the-century type songs than the one available often
on eBay and other Internet sites. One song on it that would definitely define
the right one is the rare GUM SHOE CANOE. Some of the others are ANNIE LAURIE,
CASEY JONES, WHILE STOLLING THROUGH THE PARK ONE DAY, and the one I am really
interested in obtaining, I'M IN LOVE WITH THE MAN IN THE MOON.
Does anyone know the title of this LP, and label and number?
Or maybe someone might know of other recordings of the latter song. An Internet
search has come up empty.
