Can't it be put somewhere else than in the eye? I would.

Can't wait till this is a reality.

While most people want huge HDTVs for their living rooms, dens, basements
and
man-caves, there are others who think size is all relative.
There are some who prefer the teeniest, most compact gadgets, like those
itsy-bitsy cell phones that would get lost in a pocket. So for all those
teeny-gadget lovers, here’s the TV for you.
OK, well, it’s not an actual TV. But researchers at the Future Laboratory
believe the future of television is in contact lenses, reports TV Tattle.
Similar to those who prefer convenience and watch TV on the refrigerator, or
talk on the phone while in the shower, you can soon watch your favourite
show
via a contact lens.
The lens, which could be a reality within 10 years, would be powered by body
heat. Oh, and channels could be changed by voice commands or a wave of the
hand. Presto, indeed.
“You will just pop it into your eye in the morning and take it out at the
end
of the day,” said Ian Pearson, a futurologist who advises companies on new
technologies.
While this may sound farfetched and a little too James Bond, Future
Laboratory’s Miriam Rayman, who compiled the report, said that it already
exists in a way.
“The technology is getting smaller and smaller and people are trying to work
out how to make it more immersible.”
