[78-L] Billy Murray... Scarecrow book will not be only BM bio

I think actor Jack Black bears a little resemblance to the Denver
Nightingale.  Of course, he'd have to shave.  To me, Billy always closely
resembled the late James Cagney.  Now, who would we get to do the singing?

Wow!! that's great. I have often thought that Billy's life would make a
great Hollywood fim, after all he did rub elbows with most of the greats of
early show business at that time and witnessed it all, from the Minstrel and
Vaudeville stage to Broadway and Opera, and there were tragedies as well
with his broken marriage in the early 20's to that wife that did him wrong,
and she wasn't even discreet about it, carrying on that affair with the New
York Policeman in front of everyone including Aileen Stanley, after she
would drop Billy off at the train station. Then there is Billy's very lean
years when he struggled to survive financially after his style of singing
went out of favor with the General Public, and having no other skills tried
to survive on his wife's meager earnings. I am trying to imagine who could
pull off the role of Billy in film. Does anyone have any ideas for casting?

Sammy: Hold your hats. There's a NEW Billy Murray bio in the works which
will correct the many errors in the Scarecrow book. Not sure of due date for
new book.
