I've been on the list since 1998.  Lately the signal to noise ratio has declined to the point where I no longer wish to participate.

Part of the problem lies in the fact that record collecting itself is a neurosis.  I am a psychologist and for some time I have been intending to write about the psychopathology of collecting.  For several years I have been assembling material from 78L.  The list has finally disgraced itself and my research is now complete.

I'm sorry to say that some of the blame lies with Ron Fial, who has been unwilling to intervene and has managed to lose the archives.
