In Little Caesar,  a Credenza is used as a place to throw coats & hats. And
Fred 
Astaire has a WHITE Credenza in his  room, in one film .

That white credenza turns up in THE GAY DIVORCEE (1934) and again in SHALL
WE DANCE (1937).  In the first, Fred puts cutouts of Ginger and himself on
the turntable with a light behind the machine so it casts a shadow on the
wall of the two figures dancing. In the latter film, Fred dances to a hot
record that keeps getting stuck.
