[78-L] Jacob S. Schneider]

If I go into a Sally Ann or Goodwill store and buy up, sight unseen, every
78 rpm record they have, that's an accumulation. But if I sort through the
records and just buy the ones I want, that's adding to my collection.

Okeh...for all you folks out there in Radio-Land...what, exactly, defines
the
difference between "collection" and "accumulation?!"

The number of rare and valuable records owned?!
Whether the records are classical or pop music?!
Whether the owner has compiled any discographic reference works and
published same?!
What sort of relations exist between the owner and the describer?!

Or some other concept(s)...?!

I tend to call my half-vast shellac holdings more of an "accumulation,"
since I will happily add any and all records if they are cheap enough
(FREE,of course, preferred, until my pension income is much improved...!).
Nonetheless, I DID compile the "Dating Guide" from them...and have
written various articles using them, as well...?!

(NOTE: please ignore the copies of "Doggie In the Window"...I'm
trying to,myself...?!
