Yves, I have the three titles recorded by Fletcher Allen and His Orchestra
for the Swing label on March 15, 1938.
"What'll I Do" - Swing 36
"Swingin' In Paris" -Swing 29
"Fletcher's Stomp" Swing 29

Also six Frank "Big Boy" Goudie sides from 1935 and 1939.

If you want I can send on CD.

Al Simmons

Julian
3 titles from the session (all titles under Fletcher Allen's name) were
issued on another EMI Jazztime CD "Americans In Paris"(good CD too, the
excellent Big Boy Goudie session is there with one of my favorites Jacques
Butler, but I think all of those were issued on Lp as well on the same
series that the Lp you mentioned is on, though that LP you spoke of has some
excellent Harry Cooper as well).
regarding that session:

Fletcher Allen and his Orchestra : Pierre Allier (tp) Fletcher Allen,
Charles Lisée (as) Alix Combelle (ts)Ray Stokes (p) Marcel Bianchi (g) Tony
Rovira (b) Pierre Fouad (d)
Paris, March 15, 1938
OSW-20-1 What'll I do ? Swing (F)36, Pathé (F)CO54-16024
OSW-21-1 Swingin' in Paris (F)29
OSW-22-1 Fletcher's stomp -

... all three titles also issued on a CD "Americans In Paris" (252.715 -2)
for years I have wondered why only 3 titles for this rather fine orchestra,
here is why...

Pierre Allier (tp) Alix Combelle (ts,cl) Charles Lisée, Fletcher Allen (as)
Ray Stokes (p) Marcel Bianchi(g) Tony Rovira (b) Pierre Fouad (d)
Paris, March 15, 1938
OSW23-1 Jam men Swing (F)25, Jazztime (F)251284-2
OSW24-1 Peter stomp - , -

I really like the three titles I have, want the other two (and knowing my
luck they were on some recent auction and I did not knew I was going to
study Allier so much), and will let you know if I ever obtain them. Maybe
this is the year I try to obtain more disque Swing recordings (why doesn't
Mosaic do that one I wonder?)
all the best (time to listen to Frankie Newton, after all it is his
birthday)
