First basic law: prices in the "rock" and "LP" markets are NOT based on
sanity!

OTOH, SECOND basic law: these collectors are looking for phonorecords
in absolutely ORIGINAL condition...even the merest handwritten name of
a previous owner reduces its value remarkably!

Third basic law: The whole point of LP/45 collecting is, simply stated...
"*I* got one and YOU don't!! Nyah-nyah-na-na-nyah-nyah...!!"

Beyond that...these 33.3rpm "LP singles" were pressed specifically for
jukeboxes which played them at higher prices. They were NOT (AFAIK)
sold to ordinary record buyers. Thus, they don't exactly abound...which
means the typical "Elvis collector" (by definition a completist...!) will
pay really STUPID prices for them!

Same sort of insanity (IMHO) that causes original Robert Johnson 78's
to sell for many thousands of simoleons, even though better and rarer
discs don't come close to matching that...!?
