I just watched "Zelig" for the first time since the late 80s..the DVD was 50%
off at Barnes & Noble (plus the extra 10% member's discount, so who could
resist). Hilarious, amazing technically, and some astounding voice work from
Mae Questel (Helen Kane), Norman Brooks (Al Jolson), Dick Hyman coming up with
a perfect-sounding 20s band on "Doin' The Chameleon"...the credits were so
packed and went by so quickly I didn't notice who did the Fanny Brice voice, or
did someone just drop in the "Leonard Zelig" name to an existing soundtrack?

Note the Canadian Victor record label on the Helen Kane mock-up. The only other
time I've seen a Canadian Victor in a US movie is in "Atlantic City", where the
props buyer goofed..the film was shot up here and a 78 is a 78.
