Why does the USA have so few polling stations, resulting in those 
inordinately long queues? If we in the UK have to wait more than five 
minutes, we start to get very ratty. By the way, I always spoil my 
ballot paper--so distinctly that a neighbour who occasionally stands for 
a political party remarks to me about it!
