I have a complete set of "Stand By," the weekly news magazine of WLS, Chicago, from 1935 to 1938.
 
During one of the years, it seems that the City of Chicago decided it would be better for its commerce to go to EST,  "New York City time!" 
 
While it lasted, WLS joined other Illinois groups to get the Windy City back to Central Time as the state did not follow Chicago into this clock resetting. 
 
The experiment finally ceased to exist but not without many irate items in "Stand By."
