Thanks for the responses. Wasn't sure if inner sleeves weren't commonly used in the early 1950s or if a great many of them just hadn't survived. Based on how many albums I see at flea markets and similar venues that are just the record in the cardboard jacket, many LP owners were in the habit of throwing away those inner sleeves.
