"Maint'nant" = two syllables

"De suite" (short for "Tout de suite") = two syllables

Calling for help by phone in France = two digits

- - ------------------------------in the States = three digits

Calling for action in the French Army = "Go !"

Calling for action in the U.S. Army = "Tootey Sweetey" = four syllables
(ha ha)
