You're confusing him, because the records were labeled as Harry
Seacombe, of course. Weren't Neddy's discs on Decca? Sir Harry
recorded many serious LPs and CDs and made many TV broadcasts as well
including a long running weekly religious show Highway. And don't
forget his notable appearance in the film and soundtrack album of
"Oliver." "Pickwick" also was on Broadway but closed quickly when he
became ill. I went by the theatre to get tickets but there were refund
notices on it. In addition to "If I Ruled the World" I recommend
"Falling In Love With Love." For years I heard this on the warm-up part
of the LP of "The Last Goon Show Of All" but never knew what was going
on until I got the videotape of it. Hysterical! I understand they did
this during the warm-up for years. And he just keeps singing!
For those of you without the videotape (it was never available over here
on NTSC as far as I know) here is that part on Youtube.

Then put his name in the search and find dozens and dozens of his
serious songs including several arias referred to by Mike R.
